This policy explains what information Travixa collects when you use the app, how we use it, and what we never share with anyone else.

1. Information We Collect
When you create an account and use Travixa, we collect the following information so the service can work as intended:
Name โ used on your profile and trip listings.
Email address โ used for account creation, login, and important notifications.
Phone number โ used for account verification and security (never shown to other users).
Profile information โ travel interests, languages, bio, and trips you create or join.
Location โ only if you enable it, used to show nearby and relevant trips.
Photos, reels, stories, and posts โ the content you choose to upload and share.
Chat messages โ so you can communicate with members of trips you have joined.
Device information โ device model, operating system, app version, and IP address, used to keep the app secure and stable.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect only to operate and improve Travixa. Specifically:
Account creation โ to register, verify, and maintain your account.
Trip matching โ to show you trips that fit your destination, dates, budget, and interests.
User recommendations โ to suggest relevant travelers and trips through our recommendation system.
Chat and notifications โ to deliver messages, requests, and important updates.
Security and fraud prevention โ to detect spam, scams, abuse, and unauthorized access.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on trusted cloud infrastructure. We protect it using industry-standard encryption (in transit and at rest) and strict access controls, so only authorized systems and personnel can access it. We retain your data only for as long as your account is active or as required to provide the service and comply with the law.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever. Your phone number, email address, and social media IDs are never shown to other users, and owner identity and member lists stay hidden until your join request is approved. We share personal data only when required by law โ for example, in response to a valid legal request, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.
5. Auto-blocked content
To protect every traveler, Travixa automatically blocks phone numbers, email addresses, and social handles inside bios and chat messages. This prevents off-platform contact attempts before approval and reduces scam risk.
6. Your Rights & Controls
You stay in control of your data at all times. From Settings you can:
Update or correct your profile information.
Request deletion of specific data we hold about you.
Delete your entire account โ this removes your data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.
Block users, report abuse, or leave a trip at any time.
7. Payment data
Subscription payments made on iOS and Android are processed by Apple App Store and Google Play. Travixa never receives or stores your full card number or CVV. We only retain limited billing references needed to manage your subscription status.
8. Children's Privacy
Travixa is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please email support@travixa.co and we will remove the account and associated data.
